Attended Self Defence combat lessons

This week was a mixed sorta week for us!

Things have actually gone really well. The Lord's hand has definitely been in the work this week!

The best example is that there were several days where we had conflicting appointments and things didn't look like they were going to work out, but when it came down to is, the appointments rescheduled or cancelled, to the point that we were able to see everyone that we needed to see, with really only one major mishap. But apart from that things worked out really well.

We are hopefully having a couple of baptisms next week! Their interviews are this week, so we are hopeful that they make it, they both should because they are both really powerful people. One is Liza, she is in her 20s, and the ex-girlfriend of one of the members, but the boyfriend's mother, Carol Brooks, is a really good friend to her and has really been supporting her. Anyway, she is going to get interviewed this week, and once she gets baptized, the members are already planning on taking her to the temple.

The other is a young 9-year old called River. He's a cool kid, has really long hair. And one of the most trying things is that he appears that he doesn't listen during the lessons. But he always manages to surprise us when teaching as he'll come out with these amazing answers that really impress us on how much he knows! So we are both looking forward to them!

One of our investigator families is coming along really well also. They are called Molefe and Neo. A young couple, about to have a baby, and they progressing really well! They read everything that we give them and they have some really deep questions that are really amazing!

Had a powerful lesson also with one of our investigators. He's been taught everything, and we had planned to talk about the restoration, but my companion had a prompting to ask him some questions because he'd probably heard it all before! Anyway, we asked him and as it turns out he was really struggling with some things, and so we were able to make a plan with him to help him progress and develop faith to be baptized!! So we are working with him!

One of the guys that we see is Mike. He's from America, he's an amazing guy and he was baptised this week. That was a really spiritual experience and it was amazing to see him enter the waters of baptism!

We also had a Zone activity this week, today actually! Mike and another member attend this class that trains you in Self Defence combat, on how to defend if someone comes at you with a knife. And so we got the whole Zone together and got them to teach us some of it! It was actually amazing and we all loved it. But I hope that I don't have to use it!

Looking forward to this week, Zone Conference, Temple Trip, exchanges where I get to go back to Birch Acres and hopefully see some of the people there that I knew so looking forward to all of that and also it will be my Birthday next Tuesday!! 20! Wow.
