My new companion is awesome! Elder Hosmer is a great guy, we get along so very well. The teaching is really effective between us and we are, I think, that we are actually making progress here! Things are moving. So it's awesome! He even said to me that he had a really good week! So I'm glad that we are getting along together!
Thankfully things are getting back to normal now! People are returning from their holidays, and things are going back to normal, the teaching is settling down to it's normal pace which is nice, so we can really get stuck in!
Sunday was interesting. We had Masiza come to church, which was awesome! He comes all by himself!
Although we didn't have anywhere to have gospel principles, but it all turned out okay! Masiza attended the baptism that Protea Glen were having and we waited in the hallway for the whole hour waiting for the meeting that never actually happened! So..... yeah, but things seem like they are going to improve.
We had an interesting lunch appointment! It lasted for like 3 and a half hours! Mainly because she only started cooking when we got there! But as a result of it, it ended up being that the mother (who isn't a member) wants to join in the lessons with us, with her less active daughter. We also had an interesting experience, we went to a less actives house to confirm our appointment, only 1 hour before the appointment was meant to be. We go back one hour later and she isn't there!!! So we decided to go to a different house, and it turns out that we ended up putting the investigator that we've been working so hard with, Sister Annet, on schedule!!
District meeting was interesting, I mentioned Grace, and almost lost control of the whole lesson, with people trying to give inputs about the correct usage and meaning of the word! I made it worse by using a picture! he he.
These week has gone very quick and not much else to really talk about, except we found another a family that we are teaching. The 8 and 9 year old have already tried alcohol and cigarettes, and the 14 year old has a gambling problem! So they really need the gospel! But they are very excited to learn!
I can really say that mission is giving experiences that I would never get anywhere else, and they are lessons that are really valuable
