This week has been pretty good, kinda eventful but it has gone by really fast! It's crazy! But I've enjoyed it!
The big thing this week has been the rain! It's been crazy!
3 times this week the heavens have opened and it has rained for about 30 minutes each time (slight less than England) but it even hailed once! (Painful!)
But this one time it was raining and we were out in the rain on our bikes, biked to a couple of people and within the first 30 seconds we were soaked, but kept going!
The other time we'd just left a members house to go teach someone with him, we were walking and get about halfway down the street before it just starts pouring! We make it another 30 meters before we give up and go back to his house... then the rain stops! At 1 pm! So I had wet feet all day before we went back to the flat that night.
Something really funny was we were at a members house for dinner on Monday. So we are sitting there waiting for the food to be ready, they have this 1-year-old son, very naughty. What he does is he come with his potty, places it right in front of us, pulls down his pants and with the biggest smile just does his business right in front of us! It was so funny!!!
The father also used an "interesting" discipline tactic (dont do it), he'd take him, lock him in the bathroom and turn off the lights. It scared the kid so much that when he opened the door he was crying and had wet himself! (he didn't do it while we were there!) So Funny!
We went tracting this week too on Tuesday. Knocked on 6 houses in total, only 2 of the people were home, and we taught both of them! When we went for follow up appointments, one of them were there and had read the pamphlet we gave them! It was amazing! We are getting a lot of really awesome investigators!
We just need people to come to church!!!
Still meeting with Sihle! Our investigator who has never gone to church before doesn't know Christianity (his parents are traditionalists) but he loves the gospel! Met with him like 3 times this week! But he is progressing really well! The only awkward thing is all the exams that are going on that are hindering a lot of our work with people and with coming to church, but we are getting there
Contacted this one lady, it was quite funny.
So here, in Zulu, Wena (when - a) means You, and Mena means Me.
So I ask her her name and she says Mena. Now i think it is a question, like: Me? so I say "yes Wena!" But she's like no, my name is actually Mena, very funny!
Transfers are this week on Friday (because Christoffersen is coming soon!) so we find out on Wednesday if we are moving! So that is exciting!
Time is flying so fast. It's weird to think that I am so long out! It feels like last week that I was in Heathrow!
It's something interesting, we've been doing this 100-day Book of Mormon challenge, and I'm learning so much! It's amazing, I will have to write you a letter about the things I learn.
I love you lots!
Jack
