I will admit when I heard that everyone was playing board games together I was kinda jealous :P If you remember, for my 18th birthday with my friends we all played board games.
January is going so quick and it is scary to think that we are now half way through the month and it also means that we are now half way through this transfer! I am actually really enjoying this transfer, the work is moving forward really well, we are teaching lots of lessons, and one of the best things that happened this week, actually there was a couple. One of them was that this less active that we have been working with for like 2 months now, after a really powerful lesson with her, finally came to church this week! Ah we were so happy!
We finally had Ward council too (after like 9 months) and even though it was only for 10 minutes, it was pretty effective for what we wanted out of it.
One of the best things that happened this week happened on Sunday night in response to prayers. So we had a goal to Open our Mouth (Contact) at least 70 people for that week, now on Sunday we only had 22 for the whole week. So on Sunday night after all our appointments, we had a resolve to get them. So we went to this popular intersection next to a petrol station and although we only had 30 minutes, after a quick prayer we went out and managed to get 72 in that time! It was awesome!
As always the week has been up and down as usual, but overall, I am very happy,;
We have a very busy week this week, lots of exchanges and meetings and stuff, with a baptismal interview as well, so all very stressful, but I've been able to wake up on time every day so that is the most positive thing!
There are some changes in our Stake too, they are having a special stake conference next week where they are reorganizing the stake presidency because the current stake president has been called as a mission president in Cape Town! SO that is exciting, they've also announced the new mission president for us as well!
The weather here is crazy as always. It can be raining one minute and then come out super hot all of a sudden! But even though it is summer here, it still gets dark at around 7:30pm, which is pretty early! Although the warm weather I'm actually quite enjoying, because you can just walk outside in a tshirt without being cold. Altough the A/C in the car has broken so we have to drive with the windows down :/, although I found a way to keep the car cool if we are driving fast and not roasting inside. I put the rear windows down :P
Not much else to mention. District Leadering is a continued learning experience. Not everything goes according to plan but I just try my best. Although I do get to mention things to the mission president and we have a good relationship and I love his counsel which is a good sense of support.
Love you lots!!
Jack
