So we had a VERY busy week like it was crazy
We ended up topping this week with a total of 42 lessons!! That's an average of 7 a day, my highest has only ever been 36. So it was a very busy week and we just worked very hard this week
So there are a couple of investigators that are progressing just so well currently. The Zikalala family who came to church all by themselves are just doing awesome! They understand the things that we are teaching them and they just love the gospel. They have some great questions a
nd just want to learn more.
nd just want to learn more.
The other person that is progressing so well is Vuyo! So we found Vuyo just by street contacting and it wasn't actually her that we were aiming for but now we are teaching her and she is so excited by the gospel. She's read some of the Book of Mormon and really pays attention to what we are teaching. We had a really powerful lesson with her on Repentance and she turned around and said that she wants to stop smoking after 5 years... oh and she's 18. But she comes to church every Sunday by herself! We just hope she keeps doing it.
Sunday was an interesting day because we managed to finally go splits with members of the ward! And ended up teaching 8 lessons that day instead of just the 3 that I managed to cover although we didn't get any lunch or dinner that day. Just breakfast but it was still okay.
One of our new investigators looks really promising as well. His name is Sikumbuzo, and I wanted to go to see him but resisted until finally, I had the member that I wanted to go with. He's the 2nd counselor, Brother Tshilande. So we went and it was just such a powerful lesson! We managed to teach the wife as well and Bro Tshilande was really good because he really hit the family thing with them and it looks like they will be very good investigators.
One of the biggest news this week: TRANSFERS!
So the news: I'm staying for my 3rd transfer here in Glen Ridge, which I am happy about,
But Secondly Elder Hosmer is leaving!!
Yep, he's being transferred to Bedfordview Zone and I am getting Elder Andrews! He is from Samoa and is coming from KaNyamazane. He was actually the companion of the Elder who died.
So each companionship is changing, but Elder Blow is getting Elder Benson!!! My trainer. he he. So it's going to be weird now I'm his district leader.
Elder Muriwra is getting transferred to KaNyamazane, when he found out he was so excited!
Not much else going on. Things are just moving well and the time is going so fast!
I got to go on exchanges with Elder Blow this week which was awesome
Ah almost forgot
On Wednesday, Soweto zone got to take the greenie missionaries in the MTC out teaching with us for a couple of hours!!
It was interesting, but the funniest thing was that we got lost going back to our area :')
But it was awesome, the guy I was with was actually pretty good. The other guy that went with Elder Blow apparently just froze up in the lesson :')
Looking forward to this week, although something very funny that someone said, we were talking about fasting and then there was some thunder so he said:
"Thunder is God's stomach because he is fasting' :')
That was my week :)
Anyway, love you so much!! Have a great week
Jack
